VMP is proud to have produced many projects with QUT over the years. QUT researchers have developed new technology to precisely locate underground mining vehicles and enable full driverless automation. The new positioning system couples coarse and precise localisation tools to enable underground mining vehicles to navigate autonomously through dust, camera blur and bad lighting without the need for new infrastructure or satellite technology.
