The jacarandas have been blooming in full force, which can only mean one thing – Spring! With the weather heating up and the festive season quickly approaching, VMP has been full steam ahead on closing off the year strong. Before the year ends, let’s recap Spring at VMP!
QFES // FIRE DANGER RATING SOFTWARE VIDEO
Whilst working on an eLearning project for QFES, VMP was asked to create some instructional videos for the Australian Fire Danger Rating System (or AFDRS), a new software that will allow for a nationally consistent way of forecasting and communicating fire danger. Our creative team implemented voiceover, video, motion graphics, and screen recordings to produce a comprehensive and informative video that will allow members of the community and QFES personnel to view and understand fire danger information across Australia. With the volatile weather that Queensland, and Australia, has been facing these past 3 years, VMP are extremely pleased to have a part in furthering the understanding and implementation of systems that can help create awareness and save lives. CIVIL CONSTRUCTORS QUEENSLAND LTD // EARTH AWARDS VIDEO SUITE
VMP were delighted to have the opportunity to work with Civil Contractors Federation Queensland Ltd (CCF QLD) again on the Earth Awards, an annual event that recognises excellence in civil construction projects in Queensland. VMP created a suite of videos that showcased the categories and winners, using our in-house voiceover talent and sound recording booth to narrate the videos. VMP has worked on the CCF QLD Earth Awards for over five years now and we are thrilled to continue our relationship into the future.
VISUAL DOMAIN // FIELD PRODUCING AND CINEMATOGRAPHY SERVICES
Visual Domain, a video production company based in Melbourne and Sydney, have been keeping us very busy these past couple of months with their need for Brisbane producing, directing and cinematography services. Helping with a variety of video training content, corporate videos, and unscripted series, VMP have had a blast being on location filming for the amazing team at Visual Domain. We’re no stranger to field producing and working with companies that need assistance with their video productions in the Sunshine State, having done a lot of remote work for clients the past couple of years during the COVID-19 lockdowns. URBAN UTILITIES // ROOT ZAPP 3D ANIMATION
VMP was delighted to work with Urban Utilities to create a 3D animation on their unique, world’s first product – Root Zapp, a specialised software that locates and assesses tree root invasion. The project had a short turnaround time that required our animation team’s full focus for 2 weeks in order to deliver the project on time with the desired results. We love any opportunity to create animated videos as they provide the unique opportunity to visualise something you wouldn’t otherwise be able to film or capture; with the Root Zapp being a product used underground, this made 3D animation the obvious choice to demonstrate the products use and benefits.
