The temperatures have dropped and the oodies have started to make an appearance, and that means one thing – (okay two things…Winter is coming, and…) it’s time to recap everything our team has been up to during the Autumn season.
Department of the Premier and Cabinet // Queensland Day // Animation Videos
Queensland Day is 6 June, a day to celebrate how great our state is. As a proud Queensland business, VMP were delighted to be asked again by the Department of the Premier and Cabinet to produce a suite of short and long form animation videos to encourage Queenslanders to get involved in celebrations. Our animators had a great time using a unique style of 2D animation to showcase significant Queensland icons, people, places, industries, and the heritage of our State. We were in the incredibly unique position to be able to use so much iconic Australian imagery that is born and bred in Queensland, such as the purple falling flowers of the Jacaranda trees, Ekka strawberry sundaes, the Big Pineapple, and the Great Barrier Reef – all of which you can spot throughout the videos. Jessica Ritchie // Promotional Videos
The lovely Jessica Ritchie asked VMP to assist in the promotion of her new website, social media platforms and book launch. We held concept development meetings to establish the look and feel Jess wanted to achieve, and once we had a clear understanding of this, storyboarding commenced. It was then time for production, one of our favorite parts! Jess spent a full day in the VMP Studio under awesome colourful lighting which matched her Transformational Brand Lab style guide. Our post–team is currently in the midst of editing together the videos to include animated text, graphics and logos, and we are super excited to see the final cuts. We love working with people like Jess, who are so passionate in helping and mentoring others, so many thanks to Jess for choosing to work with us!
CS Gas // Corporate Video
An engineering powerhouse, CS Gas asked VMP to create an overview video of their latest project – water solid treatment trailers. The VMP crew headed out on set on a glorious Autumn morning to capture footage of the trailers before they were dispatched. After getting back to the office, our post team polished the video off by incorporating music and GS Gas branding. We always love capturing the innovations of our repeat customers and CS Gas are building a big reputation right across Australia!
VMP eLearning // Webinar Series
In May, VMP eLearning’s Director of Education and Learning Strategies, Dr. Ruth Schwarzenboeck, hosted the first webinar of our three-part series, focused on corporate eLearning strategies and getting online training right the first time round. Coincidently, it coincided with Queensland Small Business Month (QSBM), and we were fortunate enough to be included in the QSBM schedule of events. Dr Schwarzenboeck provided the audience with strategies to identify training needs and a plan for training development to ensure clients create the right training and don’t waste any unnecessary dollars. During the webinar livestream, on the other side of the camera, our producers were testing out our brand new Webinar/Livestreaming kit. New Staff Profile
In May, we welcomed Jordan Randle to the VMP team. Jordan graduated in 2019 from QUT with a Bachelor of Fine Arts majoring in Film, Television & New Media Production. She has spent the past few years developing her skills alongside industry professionals, even picking up a gig with Netflix! As Production Manager, Jordan will oversee your project from start to finish ensuring you end up with a fantastic result. We’re so excited to have her on the team, and we know you’ll love her as much as we do!
