19 Aug Business Video Production Brisbane – Reaching Your Audience Through Live Webinar Production

VMP Brisbane looks at the rise of webinars in a COVID era and how they are the best tool to reconnect with your audience after lockdown.
Webinar production has skyrocketed in the last six months for reasons that this writer does not have to explain (please see: global pandemic). Organisations are using this fantastic business video production tool to reconnect with their customers (or employees) who may find themselves in lockdown. Whether it be a masterclass in online marketing, training for health workers or a Q&A session with a comedian, VMP has certainly seen an increase in webinar production. So, to make sure you feel at ease when producing your next webinar, we put together this list of tips and tricks to guide you through the process (and remember, if you have any questions you can always ask us!).
First things first – who’s your audience?
We know that sounds like a very basic question, but it’s really pivotal to the success of your webinar. Really think about who your customers are, their likes & dislikes, as well as what kinds of problems they might be facing that your business can help them with. If you partner this with targeted advertising (Facebook, Instagram, company mailing lists etc), you’ll have a stronger chance of people hitting that “accept” button on your invite, rather than just letting it go to spam!
Graphic design and event branding are important…
You can have the best webinar possible pre-planned and outlined, but if people don’t like the look of what they see in your marketing collateral, you run the risk of fewer attendees than you had hoped for. Design your digital invitations with imagery and a colour scheme your audience may be familiar with, and ensure you emphasise the key elements of your webinar in your main heading to capture people’s attention.
Choose your webinar platform… and your Production Company!
Once you’ve got your audience on board and branding sorted, make sure you choose the right webinar platform for you. There are plenty out there at the moment but be sure to do your research before committing to one. Which one has the best Q&A functionality? Will you need PowerPoint slides throughout the webinar? Do you want to include feedback surveys etc.? If you need some advice, webinar production companies are usually more than happy to help (we certainly are!) and can make recommendations based on your needs, timeframes and how long the webinars will run overall.
Technical knowledge is important, so hire the right people.
At VMP, we have a team of production specialists who cover every aspect of Webinar Production. Our Webinar Technical Officer Murray has extensive experience in AV setup, Cinema, Livestreaming and Webinar production, and is an absolute wealth of knowledge. Our cinematographers, directors and sound recordists are all here to ensure a smooth production process and a seamless presentation to your audience.
Realise that maybe, Webinar’s are here to stay.
They’ve been around for a while but now more than ever, we are realising the importance of webinars as a contemporary marketing and communications tool. They allow us to connect with our audiences live and on demand, which is what more and more consumers want from their providers. The technologies for webinars are constantly evolving and we are being given a fantastic chance to connect with people all over the world and share ideas in a relatively low cost and low impact way. So really, what’s not to love about webinars?
