Queensland Department of Education // Kindy in Queensland // Video Production

It’s always a good day when the Department of Education contacts us about creating social media videos which promote the importance of Kindy in Queensland. Mix this in with the fact that we got to work with the brilliant Jay Laga’aia (of Star Wars, Jay’s Place and Play School fame), and you’ve got yourself one stand up production. Over two days of shooting in both the VMP Studio and on location at a Kindy in Caboolture, we got stuck into some play-based learning and impromptu musical performances to capture footage that really showcased Jay’s dedication to promoting the long-lasting benefits of Kindy. Our pint-sized talent at the Kindy (and their educators!) were full of beans and were more than happy to tell us about their favourite Kindy activity and show us the ropes in the playground. Post-Production was pulled together by our wonderful VFX team (thank you Hamish and Zoltan!), and the final product is something that we’re all proud of. Downer // Safety Roadshow Videos & Event Filming // Video Production

In September, VMP were delighted to assist Downer showcase their safety practices surrounding heavy machinery across several of their worksites, as well as major roadshow coverage. Filming took place throughout September & October, with our crew shooting across Downer sites in Brisbane, in the Victorian Yarra Valley (Brrrr!) and at one of their Safety Roadshow events at the Royal Brisbane Convention Centre. The final results were effective training videos which featured at the Safety Roadshow events across the country. The event video will also be used as a training tool for on site staff across Downer’s Road Services business, so the whole package will work to keep people safe. The videos are still in play and we can’t showcase them yet, but take a look at the M1 Upgrade video we did for Downer a couple of months ago here.

Tanda // QUT Alumni Awards Promotional Video // Video Production

In collaboration with our long-time clients at QUT, we were delighted to shoot a short video on Brisbane based tech company Tanda for the QUT Alumni Awards. Co-founded by four QUT graduates, Tanda has developed a platform for businesses to manage their workforce. Our crew headed out on two days of filming to capture footage both at the Tanda office in the Brisbane CBD, and at a Dominos franchise where the owners were implementing Tanda’s staff scheduling and time tracking software. The footage was used to showcase the company’s amazing achievements, and how QUT helped them to develop their business with the right skills from their university degrees. The guys were honored at this years’ 2019 Alumni Awards, winning the 2019 Young Alumni of the Year award. Congrats to Tanda and everyone involved in this project!

Apprentice Employment Network /// WIN-WIN Campaign // Promotional Video

When longtime friend of VMP Joy Martin drops us a line – you know it’s going to be a good time! We were super excited to work with Joy once again to produce promotional videos for The Apprentice Employment Network’s (AEN) WIN-WIN Group Training System. The aim of this program was to increase employment opportunities among young apprentices by giving businesses a hand with all the financial and administrative duties that come with hiring apprentices. After an extensive casting period, we selected three fantastic and talented young actors (all from Brisbane!) to present these videos. The actors presented a fast paced and engaging script in the VMP Studio, while post-production included the production of customized graphics and animation. The final videos are being distributed to potential employers all around Queensland at a series of Roadshows with hopes of increasing employment opportunities across the state.

iPipe Services // Chinchilla Site Documentary // Video Production

VMP were given the opportunity to head out west to Chinchilla where iPipe and QGS Shell required a video documentary. The purpose was to capture the dedicated field management practices of the ROW (Right Of Way) tracks. Our team captured key elements of the process as well as interviews with management and the ground crews who spend their days ensuring the pipelines are safe. Currently in post-production, ROW The Right Way presents the unique people and technology that is helping to drive things forward for one of our regional economies.
