VMP Winter Newsletter 2019

It’s a little cold but that doesn’t mean we’re slowing down! We’ve had a busy winter season here at VMP – read all about it in our 2019 Winter newsletter!

Queensland Department of the Premier & Cabinet // Australian of the Year Alumni Video // Video Production & Podcast

VMP were asked by fantastic long-term client, the Queensland Department of Premier & Cabinet, to produce a round-table discussion video and podcast to promote nominations for the 2020 Australian of the Year Awards. We got to hear some amazing stories from the 2019 Queensland winners, including Taskforce ARGOS leader Detective Inspector Jon Rouse, banana saviour Dr. James Dale, disability activist and model Angel Dixon, and Queensland local hero, Elijah Boul. The final product included 1 x 30-minute round-table discussion video, 1 x matching podcast and a social media cut-down to promote nominations online. Talk about inspiring!

Queensland University of Technology // Online 360 Experience // 360 Video Production

Longtime friends & clients of VMP, QUT Science and Engineering Faculty, commissioned us at the end of 2018 to create an interactive 360 experience for the promotion of their world class teaching facilities and university programs. After extensive testing, pre-production, ooh-ing and aah-ing, we were able to film several different scenarios this year and have created an engaging interactive 360 experience which is available via the QUT website.

LifeFlight // “Donate Now” TVC’s // TV Commercial

With a successful first campaign in the bag from earlier in the year (check out our write up from a couple of months ago), LifeFlight contacted us again to produce two more TVC’s which focused on two families who had to utilize the LifeFlight service. Their emotional stories formed the basis of this “donate now” campaign, which aims to promote awareness around LifeFlight’s lifesaving services and increase the amount of donations coming in. After a day of filming out in rural Queensland we cut together the campaign made up of two 30 second TVC’s which will be on air in October 2019. Keep your eyes peeled!

Queensland Fire & Rescue Services // eLearning Videos // Video Production

We love a person in uniform – especially when they excel in their field and keep us all safe! VMP and QFES worked together earlier in the season to develop a suite of videos which are to be embedded throughout an online professional development course for QFES staff. Using key QFES players, VMP spent the day filming in our onsite, green screen studio to develop a screen style that would match the QFES brand values and their eLearning course.

Queensland Sentencing Advisory Council // Queensland Drug & Alcohol Court // Interactive Experience

For the third year in a row VMP and the Queensland Sentencing Advisory Council have been working on an online program which aims to educate the general public on sentencing practices in Queensland. This year we’re tackling the Queensland Drug and Alcohol Court (QDAC), which focuses on the rehabilitation of drug and alcohol addicts to ensure that they can transform into positive members of the community, breaking free of the cycle of imprisonment. With a “choose your own adventure” style of interactivity, this program will launch before the end of 2019.

VMP eLearning Update // Various Projects

The VMP eLearning team have been firing from both barrels over the past three months, with clients like Mater Education, the Queensland Department of Local Government, Racing and Multicultural Affairs and the Civil Aviation Safety Authority (CASA).
