Do the leaves even fall in Queensland? Only if they want to! Here are some of the projects that have dropped our way in Autumn 2019!

Qld. Department of the Premier & Cabinet // Queensland Day Promotional Videos // Social Media Video Production

Held on the 6^th June every year, Queensland Day commemorates the anniversary of our great sunshine state becoming its own unique community. To raise awareness about the day and encourage community events, the Department of the Premier and Cabinet approached VMP to create a suite of social media videos which showcased exceptional Queenslanders and their approach to Queensland Day. During three days of filming in the VMP studio, we interviewed a wide variety of talent, from TV personalities to young entrepreneurs, ballet dancers, and iconic politicians to develop for the warmth and generosity of Queensland. The videos are now online via the Queensland Day social media campaign which already has over 35,000 views. We’re really proud of this project so keep your eyes peeled – it might find its way onto your Facebook feed sometime soon!

Trident Services // IED Detection Training Videos // Video Production & eLearning

VMP travelled to Cairns to film and produce a suite of videos for Trident’s internal IED Detection eLearning course, aimed at airport security scanners. With a mixture of narrative filming (with some very talented Trident employees), animation, voiceover, graphics and titles, the videos will be utilized with Trident’s training program to train new staff to make our transport and public spaces safer.

Civil Aviation Safety Authority (CASA) // eLearning Videos & Interviews // Video Production

With meticulous planning a prerequisite with CASA and VMP – we have been working on this long-standing project since the beginning of 2019. With the aim to capture interview and overlay content to be used throughout CASA’s ‘Flight Examiner Professional Development Course’, VMP undertook five days of filming in both the VMP studio and on location at CASA and the Coollangatta Airport – and yes, we did get to go up in a plane! The final product is several ‘In Conversation’ interview videos, as well as three module introductions and a course introduction video. It’s been a great opportunity to work alongside a federal agency, and we’re looking forward to more projects with CASA in the future!

Mater Education // eLearning Demonstration Videos // Video Production + eLearning

After a comprehensive tendering process, VMP eLearning and VMP earned the opportunity to create a lifesaving eLearning course. The course is designed to teach new parents & grandparents about Baby First Aid and what to do in an emergency situation. VMP developed a suite of videos which ranged from demonstrations to emergency reenactments that would help the viewers understand the important techniques when administering First Aid to a baby under 12 months old. With filming both on location at Mater Education’s new South Brisbane facility and in the VMP Studio, we created videos which both engage and inform. The final course will be available for purchase towards the end of 2019 and will be especially useful to families in rural and regional locations (that can’t get to the instructor-led courses) in order to ensure the best start in life for babies all across Australia!

Staff Update // Ian’s Long Ride to Darwin

In May 2019, our fearless Leader Ian Chapman joined hundreds of other motorbike enthusiasts on the road trip of a lifetime from Brisbane to Darwin to raise money for Prostate Cancer research. With small-town stops including Winton (QLD), Barkley (NT) and  Tennant Creek (NT), the ride was a huge success. Team Chappo (made up of the Chapman brothers… who would have guessed!?) raised over $6,765.81 for the cause, the entire event raised over $250K! Congrats to all involved!
